Bethesda's upcoming Update 3 for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will arrive next week, bringing several improvements and fixes, the company announced. While complete patch notes are pending, Bethesda's tweet previewed key additions: support for Nvidia DLSS 4, including Multi-Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction.
This update is highly anticipated by players grappling with game-breaking bugs since the December launch. Bethesda previously indicated February's update would address graphical issues and bugs preventing completion of the game, particularly those impacting vine climbing and wall traversal in Sukhothai. The extent to which these issues are resolved remains to be seen.
The game, available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass, has already attracted 4 million players. MachineGames' title received widespread critical praise and multiple awards, including three D.I.C.E. Awards. A PlayStation 5 release is planned for this spring.
Harrison Ford, the iconic Indiana Jones, commented on Troy Baker's portrayal of the character, stating that Baker's performance demonstrates "you don't need artificial intelligence to steal my soul." In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Ford expressed his satisfaction with Baker's work, emphasizing the actor's talent and the unnecessary use of AI. He lauded Baker's "brilliant job," highlighting the achievement without AI assistance.
