In the thrilling world of Hyper Light Breaker, mastering the game's seven essential resources is key to enhancing your gear, unlocking permanent upgrades, boosting survivability, and expanding your character roster. These resources, while crucial, might not be immediately intuitive to acquire or utilize. This guide aims to demystify their acquisition and application, ensuring you have a comprehensive grasp of these vital game elements.

You can easily keep track of your resources within the inventory menu under the items tab, providing you with a clear overview of what you've gathered.

How to Get & Use Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker

Bright Blood is the most abundant resource in Hyper Light Breaker. You can gather it by defeating enemies, smashing destructible objects, and opening crates scattered throughout the Overgrowth. Additionally, you can earn more Bright Blood by selling gear to vendors in the Hub.

Here's how you can utilize your Bright Blood:

  • Loot Blades and Rails from fallen foes in the Overgrowth.
  • Unlock Stashes and other treasure-filled crates within the Overgrowth.
  • Buy new gear from vendors located in both the Overgrowth and the Hub.
  • Enhance your gear at the Hub's vendors for better performance.

How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker

Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. In the game's early phase, expect to finish your Cycles after exhausting all four Rezes. Once you've used up your Rezes, head to the Telepad in the Hub where you'll find an NPC. Hand over the requested materials to reset the Overgrowth and edge closer to earning those Gold Rations.

Gold Rations are pivotal for meta-progression. They allow you to unlock permanent upgrades at Pherus Bit in the Hub. Moreover, offering Gold Rations to the Hub's vendors can unlock new services, enhancing your gameplay experience.

How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker

To obtain Abyss Stones, you must defeat Crowns, formidable bosses accessible through gates in the Overgrowth. Before challenging these bosses, you'll need to collect Prism, which are marked by yellow diamonds on the in-game map.

Like Gold Rations, Abyss Stones contribute to meta-progression. Use them to boost your Sycoms' stats and unlock new characters during loadout confirmation, just before entering the Overgrowth. This strategic use can give you a significant advantage in future runs.

How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker

Keys can be found by opening small containers in the Overgrowth, though these caches are often unmarked on the map, making them a bit tricky to locate.

Keys serve to unlock barriers in the Overgrowth, granting access to Stashes and other valuable loot containers. They also allow entry into Labs, underground zones filled with enemies and collectibles.

How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker

MediGems are vital for survival, obtained by interacting with glowing flowers in the Overgrowth. These gems are exchanged for Medkits at the Hub's Telepad and at Shrines within the Overgrowth.

Before using MediGems, you must first expand your Medkit capacity to one. Visit Pherus Bit in the Hub and spend one Gold Ration to unlock the Medkit Capacity node.

How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker

Cores are another meta-progression resource, found in Stashes marked by chest icons on the map. You can also assemble Cores by combining four Core Shards, which are dropped by enemies that yield Prisms (marked by yellow diamonds) and from unmarked lootable objects like bone piles.

Use Cores to upgrade your Sycom during loadout confirmation before entering the Overgrowth, enhancing your Breakers' stats for better performance.

How to Get & Use Material in Hyper Light Breaker

Materials are mainly acquired by using Bright Blood to open small chests in the Overgrowth, often marked by gems on the map. You can also gain additional Materials by selling gear to vendors in the Hub.

Use Materials to purchase gear from vendors in both the Hub and the Overgrowth. While similar to Bright Blood, Materials have more specific applications.
