Despite being somewhat overshadowed by other titles, Halo Infinite continues to receive content updates, ensuring the game remains fresh and engaging for its dedicated player base. Recently, the development team introduced an exciting new competitive game mode called S&D Extraction, which promises to deliver a thrilling experience with strategic depth.

S&D Extraction draws inspiration from Valve's iconic Counter-Strike but introduces unique twists that set it apart. The mode features two teams of four players each: one team assumes the role of attackers, tasked with planting a device on a designated point, while the other defends. After each round, teams switch roles, keeping the gameplay dynamic. Victory is achieved by winning six rounds, adding a competitive edge to each match.

One of the standout features of S&D Extraction is its extensive economic system. Players can purchase equipment at the start of each round using in-game currency earned through objectives. Equipment prices fluctuate based on performance, adding a layer of strategy to the game. All gear disappears after the round ends, ensuring that each round starts on a level playing field.

Item costs are determined by their effectiveness and power potential within a round, with more powerful items naturally costing more. Players can expect cheaper items in early rounds, pricier options mid-match, and potentially even more expensive gear toward the end if they save their earnings. Additionally, players will have the option to pay for respawn after being eliminated, providing a second chance to turn the tide of battle.

S&D Extraction is set to launch for Halo Infinite in 2025, promising a dynamic and engaging competitive experience for fans of the franchise. With its innovative gameplay mechanics and strategic depth, this new mode is poised to reinvigorate the Halo Infinite community and attract new players to the series.
