CrazyGames is set to launch its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, inviting indie developers worldwide to participate in a thrilling 10-day game development marathon. Scheduled from April 25th to May 5th, the event is a collaboration with Photon, the premier multiplayer service provider, focusing on crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the jam will vie for a slice of the €10,000 cash prize pool and premium Photon licenses, which include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (valued at €7,500)
- 500 CCU for a year (valued at €1,500)
- 100 CCU for a year (valued at €100)
The only strict rules for the event are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers have the freedom to let their creativity soar.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has grown to become the leading free online gaming platform, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI to deliver seamless browser-based gaming experiences across thousands of titles. In partnership with Photon, CrazyGames will not only support participants during the event but also offer the chance for winning games to be showcased on their platform.
To kick off the event, a pre-jam livestream will be hosted on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This session will introduce two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, commented, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples allow developers to create high-performance multiplayer games with ease. We believe a WebGL game will soon rank among the top 20 most visited websites globally, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 provides a prime opportunity for developers to innovate on this platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to developers of all skill levels. For more information and to register, please visit the official jam page.
