A charming new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is coming soon to Android! The name itself is a clever combination of "cat" and "toast," perfectly reflecting the game's unique premise. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers did, and the answer is pure, gravity-defying fun!
Initially created for the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam, Cato: Buttered Cat, developed by Team Woll, received such positive feedback that it's now a full-fledged game. Currently available on Steam for PC, an Android release is imminent. While the Google Play Store listing isn't live yet, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page.
Gameplay:
Cato: Buttered Cat is a delightful puzzle platformer where you control both a cat and a piece of buttered toast. Work together to solve puzzles, battle enemies, and explore five whimsical worlds filled with quirky contraptions. Over 200 levels, including side quests, await, along with a captivating storyline revealed piecemeal and 30 unique outfits.
The gameplay shines in the interaction between the cat and toast. The agile cat climbs and runs, while the toast acts as a projectile, launching to help the cat reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Prepare for hidden rooms and plenty of Easter eggs!
