What's New in Season 4?
This season introduces a new snowy tundra habitat teeming with challenging creatures. New monsters joining the hunt include Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex. Returning favorites like Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos also make appearances. Tigrex will be a formidable foe in Hunt-a-thons and may even surprise you in the field. Unlock these powerful beasts by completing urgent quests within Season 4's story chapters. Finish the prologue to gain access to the tundra.
A powerful new weapon, the Switch Axe, is added to your arsenal. This versatile weapon seamlessly transitions between Axe Mode for powerful strikes and Sword Mode for devastating attacks. Unlock the Switch Gauge by completing the pre-season story in Chapter 2.
Customize your Palico companion! These helpful allies will aid you in gathering materials and scouting monsters. Personalize their fur color, facial features, and even give them a unique name. AR fans can even take their custom Palico into the real world for memorable photos.
Season 4 also introduces Friend Cheering, a way to support your fellow hunters. Send cheers to friends for a temporary health boost, though there's a limit to how much health can be gained this way.
