Texas Chain Saw Massacre Resurrected for 2024 Release

Sumo Digital is releasing a crucial update for Texas Chain Saw Massacre on June 25th, 2024, primarily focusing on fixing skill tree issues for several characters and enhancing overall gameplay. This update addresses various bugs affecting the user interface (UI) and game visuals.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sumo Digital's asymmetrical horror game inspired by the 1974 classic, pits the infamous Slaughter family against their victims in a thrilling 3v4 multiplayer experience. Set in early 1973, the game follows Ana and her friends as they search for Ana's missing sister, only to encounter the terrifying Leatherface and his family. The game has been praised for its immersive and chilling atmosphere.

The June 25th update includes the purchasable Hitchhiker’s Claymore outfit ($2.99 USD), a new cosmetic skin. Beyond cosmetics, the update significantly improves matchmaking by refining the lobby cooldown penalty. Critical fixes address skill tree problems for Cook, Julie, and the newly added character, Hands. Cook and Julie's skill trees now allow players to reach level 10, thanks to added attribute points. Hands' skill tree has undergone significant adjustments to fix an exploit related to stamina, ensuring his abilities function as intended.

Several other fixes are included: corrected connection lines in skill trees, a resolved UI bug preventing correct perk display in character loadouts, and visual fixes resolving hair texture and model issues for the character Maria. These improvements, driven by player feedback, promise a more refined and enjoyable gaming experience.
