Palumbo shared a fascinating insight: "Without even being prodded by me, a developer who preferred to remain anonymous mentioned they had received the specs for the PS5 Pro and were confident that Unreal Engine 5 would perform significantly better on the new hardware compared to the regular PlayStation 5."
This aligns with a report from the Italian gaming site Multiplayer, which stated in a live stream that a developer had delayed their game’s release to align with the rumored PS5 Pro launch. Palumbo added, "Considering the information shared by Multiplayer, I'm confident this isn't the same developer. Additionally, the studio I spoke with isn't a major one, suggesting that a wide range of game developers already have access to the PS5 Pro's specifications."

Aguilar hinted on X in July that Sony is poised to announce the PS5 Pro later this year. Aguilar speculated that this announcement might occur during the rumored State of Play in September 2024, suggesting Sony needs to act swiftly to avoid impacting sales of the current PS5 model.
This timeline mirrors the release strategy of the PlayStation 4 Pro in 2016, announced on September 7 and released on November 10. Palumbo noted, "If Sony follows a similar pattern, it is reasonable to assume an official announcement is imminent."
