The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, titled "Shining Revelry," has brought dazzling new shiny variants to the game, including over 110 new cards from the Paldea region. This update has me eager to spend my Pack Hourglasses on 10-pack pulls, hoping to snag some of these stunning additions. In my first attempt, I was lucky enough to pull a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less exciting. However, drawing the Pokémon Center Lady card was a small consolation, as her ability to heal Special Conditions can be a game-changer when facing debilitating effects like Burn.
Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn stylish new badges to show off to their friends. The real excitement, though, comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. Players can now compete against each other, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Points earned in these matches will be displayed, and at the end of the season, which lasts approximately one month, an emblem will be awarded based on your performance. This feature has motivated me to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks.
If you're eager to dive into the fun, you can download Pokémon TCG Pocket for free on the App Store and Google Play, though be aware there are in-app purchases.
