Nintendo Switch 2 Direct: April 2, 2025
After months of whispers and leaks, Nintendo finally unveiled their next-generation console. A welcome addition? An extra USB-C port on the console itself.
Backward compatibility is confirmed! You'll be able to play both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games, though Nintendo notes that some titles may have limited support or incompatibility. Specific titles will be detailed later on the Nintendo website. Good news for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers: your subscriptions will carry over to the Switch 2.
