Elden Ring: Nightreign will only be tested on consoles

FromSoftware's latest project, *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, is set to excite console gamers as test access will be exclusively available to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners. The registration for this eagerly awaited test will kick off on January 10, with the actual testing scheduled for February. This exclusivity means that a significant number of fans, particularly those on PC, will miss out on the opportunity for early access to the game.

Bandai Namco has yet to disclose why PC users are being bypassed for this initial testing phase. However, those fortunate enough to own the latest consoles will get a first-hand experience of *Elden Ring: Nightreign* before its official release.

*Elden Ring: Nightreign* continues the narrative from its predecessor, promising new adventures in a dark and sinister setting. Console players have the advantage of testing this new installment before others, while PC gamers are encouraged to stay tuned for announcements about potential future testing opportunities.

In a departure from tradition, *Elden Ring: Nightreign* will not feature the iconic "leave a message" system found in previous FromSoftware titles. Project director Junya Ishizaki elaborated on this decision during an interview, stating that the gaming sessions, which last about forty minutes each, do not provide sufficient time for players to engage with the messaging feature.

"We disabled the messaging feature because there isn't enough time for sending or reading messages during sessions, which last approximately forty minutes," Ishizaki explained.
