On January 18, Deadlock introduced four new heroes to its roster, and shortly thereafter, on January 21, the developers rolled out a balance patch. This update fine-tuned the abilities of both new and existing heroes. Holliday's Crackshot ability now activates on units and has its cooldown halved in these scenarios, enhancing its utility. Meanwhile, Calico's Ava ability has been empowered to destroy objects as she passes through them, adding a new layer of strategy to her gameplay.
The patch didn't overlook the older heroes either. Kelvin received a health boost, moving from 600 to 650, which should make him more durable in combat. Vendicta, on the other hand, saw a reduction in her bullet speed from 810 to 740 and her movement speed dropped from nine to eight, potentially affecting her effectiveness in fast-paced encounters. These adjustments, along with others, affected a total of 11 heroes, showcasing Valve's commitment to maintaining balance within Deadlock's ever-evolving meta.
Currently, Deadlock remains in closed beta, yet it maintains a robust player base, with online counts fluctuating between 7,000 and 20,000 players. This indicates a strong and dedicated community eagerly awaiting further developments and the eventual full release of the game.
