Description

Assess your WiFi network's security vulnerabilities. Is your network susceptible to unauthorized access? WPSApp leverages the WPS protocol to evaluate your network's security.

WPSApp employs the WPS protocol to assess your network's security. This protocol facilitates WiFi network connections using an 8-digit PIN, often pre-defined in the router. The vulnerability lies in the fact that many routers' PINs are publicly known or easily calculable.

This application utilizes these known PINs to attempt connections and identify vulnerabilities. It incorporates several established PIN generation algorithms and default PINs. Furthermore, it calculates default keys for certain routers, displays stored WiFi passwords (root access required), scans connected devices, and analyzes WiFi channel quality.

Usage is straightforward. During a network scan, networks marked with a red cross indicate secure networks—WPS is disabled, and the default password is unknown. Networks with a question mark have WPS enabled but an unknown PIN; the app tests common PINs. Networks with a green checkmark are likely vulnerable, with WPS enabled and a known connection PIN. A green checkmark may also indicate that WPS is disabled but the password is known.

Root access is required to view passwords (Android 9/10 and above may require root for additional functionality).

Disclaimer: Not all networks are vulnerable. A vulnerability indication does not guarantee 100% vulnerability. Many manufacturers have updated router firmware to address this weakness. Test your network and, if vulnerable, mitigate the risk by disabling WPS and setting a strong, unique password. Unauthorized network access is illegal. I am not responsible for any misuse.

Android 6 (Marshmallow) and later require location permissions (per Google's requirements). See https://developer.android.com/about/versions/marshmallow/android-6.0-changes.html#behavior-hardware-id for details.

Some Samsung models employ encryption, displaying hexadecimal digits instead of passwords. Consult online resources or contact the developer for decryption assistance.

PIN connection functionality is limited on LG devices running Android 7 (Nougat) due to LG's software.
