How To Study a Historical Display in The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event

by Skylar Mar 04,2025

Week 2 of The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents a puzzling challenge: studying a Historical Display. This guide clarifies how to complete this seemingly simple, yet surprisingly problematic, task.

Locating a Historical Display:

The Week 2 quest requires interaction with a Historical Display, encompassing both paintings and sculptures found within museums. Use your in-game map to locate a museum (indicated by a pillar icon). The Municipal Museum in Willow Creek and The Future's Past in Oasis Springs are conveniently located near other event tasks.

Completing the Task:

Upon entering a museum, locate a painting or sculpture. Clicking on the chosen display will present a "View" option. Selecting "View" completes the quest, indicated by the appearance of the Emit icon.

Troubleshooting Common Issues:

Many players encounter difficulties with the "View" option becoming unresponsive. This issue is frequently linked to mods. If you're experiencing this problem, temporarily disabling mods might resolve the issue. If the problem persists after removing mods, trying multiple displays in different museums may be necessary. EA's awareness of this bug is hoped for, and a future patch is anticipated.
