The new year in Pokémon GO brings a wave of new Pokémon, and Shroodle is the latest addition! However, unlike many wild spawns, obtaining Shroodle requires a bit more effort.
Shroodle's Pokémon GO Debut:
The Poison-type Shroodle arrives in Pokémon GO on January 15th, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. This Pokémon, originally from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, will remain available after the event concludes.
Shiny Shroodle:
Currently, a Shiny Shroodle is unavailable in Pokémon GO. Expect its Shiny variant to appear in a future event, possibly a Poison-type focused event or a Team GO Rocket event.
Catching Shroodle:
Unlike previous releases, Shroodle isn't a wild spawn. Your only method for acquiring Shroodle is by hatching 12KM Eggs. These eggs, obtained after defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff, or Giovanni), have a chance to hatch Shroodle. The probability might be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event.
Obtaining 12KM Eggs:
12KM Eggs are a rare commodity in Pokémon GO, exclusively obtained by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event is an ideal time to stock up, as Rocket Radars will be more readily available. Remember, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts at any time to encounter the Leaders and obtain these eggs.
Acquiring Grafaiai:
Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuts January 15th. It cannot be hatched or found in the wild; evolution is the only method. You'll need 50 Shroodle Candy, so hatching multiple Shroodle or using it as your buddy Pokémon is recommended.
Pokémon GO is available now.
