Maintaining your footwear is crucial in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This guide details how to acquire and repair shoes to keep your character mobile.
Acquiring Shoes:
While you begin with a pair, replacement options abound. Loot chests and fallen enemies (poachers, etc.) often yield new footwear. Alternatively, purchase shoes from vendors. Tailors offer shoes, but cobblers provide superior options. Locate cobblers using their map icon (three red circles); one is found early in Trosky. Cobblers, like Matthew, also sell horse gear and crafting kits.
Repairing Shoes:
Several methods exist for shoe repair. Cobblers and blacksmiths offer repair services; the cost varies based on your Craftsmanship skill level and perks. Alternatively, self-repair is possible with a Cobbler's Kit. The success of self-repair hinges on your Craftsmanship skill. Insufficient skill renders some items unrepairable.
Cobbler's Kits are obtainable from various vendors (cobblers, blacksmiths) or through looting and chests. To use a kit, access your inventory, select the kit, and use the interact button ("E" on PC). A menu appears, listing repairable items. Faded items indicate insufficient skill. Select items and use the interact button again to initiate repair. Blacksmith's Kits function similarly for other equipment. While vendor repairs are convenient, self-repair is a viable option with sufficient skill. Maintaining your gear is essential for continued gameplay.
