While Monster Hunter Wilds shines brightest when played with friends, solo adventures have their own appeal. Need to pause the action? Here's how to do it.
Pause Game During Quests and Hunts in Monster Hunter Wilds

Pausing in Monster Hunter Wilds is simple. Open the menu by pressing the Options button, then use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Systems tab. Select "Pause Game" with the X button. This works even during hunts or combat. Resume your hunt by pressing the circle button or R3. Life happens, and this pause feature provides a much-needed breather when you need it. Even in online single-player mode (no other players in your lobby), pausing is available.
Can You Pause While Playing Multiplayer?
Unfortunately, pausing isn't an option in multiplayer mode. If you're in a lobby or party with others, the game won't pause. Your best strategy is to find a safe spot for your character to avoid taking damage while briefly stepping away. Remember, monster health pools increase with more players, so extended absences could put your team at a disadvantage.
