"Marvel Rivals Bans Console Players Using Keyboard and Mouse"

In a recent statement, NetEase Games has clarified its stance on the use of keyboard and mouse adapters on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles while playing *Marvel Rivals*. Players employing adapters such as the XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, or Brook Sniper face the risk of having their accounts blocked. These adapters simulate gamepad controls using a keyboard and mouse, granting users an unfair edge, particularly when auto-targeting is active.

As NetEase explains, the issue arises because these devices create an imbalance in competitive modes, providing players with enhanced control sensitivity and aiming assistance. To combat this, the company has integrated advanced tools capable of detecting adapter usage with remarkable accuracy. When violations are identified, immediate account blocking follows.

Previously, we noted that higher FPS in *Marvel Rivals* often correlates with increased ping. While this difference may go unnoticed with lower pings, a sudden jump to 150 ms can disrupt gameplay, especially if your usual ping hovers around 90 ms. This issue appears linked to frame rates as well. Until a patch resolves the problem, players are advised to maintain an FPS of approximately 90—a recommendation that might seem unusual compared to other games like *Counter-Strike 2*, but remains the current solution for *Marvel Rivals* players.
