According to the official press release, MindsEye centers on protagonist Jacob Diaz, who is equipped with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This implant, however, has fragmented his memories, leaving him with disjointed flashbacks from his time in the military. As Diaz embarks on a quest to unravel the truth about his past, he finds himself in direct confrontation with an AI-powered military force determined to thwart his efforts.
MindsEye has been in the works for several years since Benzies left Rockstar Games to establish his new studio, Build a Rocket Boy. In collaboration with Hitman developer IO Interactive, MindsEye is poised to be a AAA action-adventure game. Additionally, it will introduce the Everywhere platform, which we previously described as a "Big budget Roblox" following a visit to their studio in 2024.
While the new trailer did not delve into details about Everywhere, MindsEye itself promises to be an exhilarating new entry in the action genre, crafted by one of its most celebrated designers. Fans can look forward to its release in the summer of 2025.
