Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. Unlike typical quest items, these don't appear in your quest log. Instead of progressing a questline, they offer a substantial gold reward upon sale. There are five to find in total.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three of the Golden Idols, with the remaining two located in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols aren't dropped by enemies; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Idols
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and speak to Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He'll purchase your idols for a significant amount of gold:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Finding all five yields a total of 6000 gold. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as valuable trade items, it's advisable to sell them immediately after discovery to free up space.
