Freedom Wars Remastered offers diverse loadout options for operations. While weapons and Thrones are less frequently changed, Combat Items—consumable resources with varied uses—require strategic management. You'll occasionally receive Combat Items as operation rewards, but acquiring sufficient quantities can be challenging, especially early on when you're limited to equipping only one at a time. Let's address both these issues.
How To Equip More Combat Items In Freedom Wars Remastered
Increasing your Combat Item capacity requires obtaining specific Entitlements. In your cell, access the Window On Liberty and select "Claim Entitlements." Navigate to the Equipment section, then tab to the right to find the One-Item Permit. Subsequent permits, each allowing you to equip an additional Combat Item (up to four total), are located below.
These permits become available as you progress the story, typically by CODE level 3. Note that later permits unlock only after purchasing the preceding ones. Equipping a Combat Item utilizes your entire stack of that item, meaning equipping a Frag Grenade will use all currently held grenades at the start of an operation. Your Accessory can also equip one Combat Item.
Where To Get More Combat Items In Freedom Wars Remastered
After progressing through the initial missions, you'll gain access to The Warren hub. Here, you'll find Zakka's store on the upper level. In addition to weapons, Zakka sells Munitions and Medical Supplies.
- Munitions: Items that directly inflict damage on enemies.
- Medical Supplies: Items that heal, cure status ailments, or replenish ammunition.
Combat Items are purchased individually, with bulk purchases costing significant Entitlement Points. While you might occasionally receive Combat Items as operation rewards, this isn't a reliable farming method due to the time investment and the possibility of consuming more than you gain. Therefore, donating old resources is only advisable if you have a large need for medical supplies.
