The highly anticipated hero shooter, FragPunk, has arrived on PC, but some players are experiencing a frustrating audio issue—no sound! This makes enjoying the fast-paced action nearly impossible, as audio cues are critical in FragPunk. Fortunately, there are a couple of fixes you can try.
While the console releases were delayed, PC players are already battling it out with the various Lancers. Let's get that audio working!
Troubleshooting FragPunk Audio Issues
Reddit user Even_Significance581 shared two effective solutions. Both involve tweaking your system settings:
Solution 1: Disabling Exclusive Mode
- Right-click the speaker icon in your PC's system tray.
- Select "Sound settings".
- Navigate to the "Advanced" section and click "More sound settings".
- Right-click your speakers or headphones.
- Choose "Properties", then go to the "Advanced" tab.
- Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".
- Click "Apply", then "OK".
- Relaunch FragPunk and check if the audio is restored.
If this doesn't work, move on to the next solution.
Solution 2: Running FragPunk as Administrator
- Right-click the FragPunk shortcut.
- Select "Properties".
- Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
- Check "Run this program as an administrator".
This grants FragPunk full system access, potentially resolving the audio problem. If the issue persists after trying both methods, double-check FragPunk's in-game audio settings to ensure everything is set to default. If the problem remains, it's likely a game-side issue that needs addressing by the developers, Bad Guitar Studio.

FragPunk is currently available on PC, with PlayStation and Xbox releases planned for a later date.
