Dredge's Mobile Port Set for Closed Beta in December

by Max Jan 26,2025

Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!

Fans of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will have to wait a little longer for the mobile port. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.

For the uninitiated, Dredge casts you as a fisherman in the unsettling town of Greater Marrow. Initially, your work involves the simple task of catching and selling fish. But the tranquil fishing life quickly unravels as you encounter bizarre sea creatures, mysterious entities, and unsettling events on a nearby island, all while battling the creeping threat of madness.

Interested in participating in the closed beta? Sign up via this Google form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has received suggest the wait will be worthwhile, especially for those who haven't experienced the game yet.

A challenging port

Having played the PC version, the delay is understandable. Adapting such a large and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback before the official launch. This ensures a polished and enjoyable mobile experience.
