Disney Mirrorverse, the innovative mobile game that merged Disney and Pixar characters into a fresh universe, has officially announced its end of service (EOS). Kabam, the developer behind this title, has set the final date for December 16th, 2024. As of now, the game has been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases have ceased. If you're a current player, you have roughly three months left to enjoy the game before the servers shut down.
Did You Ever Play It?
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse is an action RPG where players team up with reimagined versions of beloved Disney and Pixar characters. For those still engaged, Kabam recommends completing the final storyline before the game vanishes for good. The initial announcement sparked significant excitement, particularly among Disney enthusiasts. However, the game's two-year early access beta phase and the absence of regular content updates struggled to retain player interest.
And So, Disney Mirrorverse EOS Was Announced!
Despite its potential, Disney Mirrorverse fell short of expectations. The game's demanding shard collection system made it challenging to fully upgrade characters without substantial financial investment. Yet, it's worth noting the game's stunning character designs, which were both creative and visually impressive.
The EOS announcement is particularly bitter given that just a week prior, Kabam introduced new story content and added Cinderella as a playable character. This sudden decision has left many players stunned. It's not the first time Kabam has abruptly ended a game; last year, they discontinued Transformers: Forged to Fight, and previously, a spin-off of their popular title Marvel Contest of Champions was also terminated.
