Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) isn’t just a mobile game—it also boasts an arcade version at Dave & Buster’s locations, offering a thrilling twist on the MCoC action. This arcade machine allows two players to engage in 3v3 battles, with the winner emerging after a best-of-three showdown. The real excitement comes post-match, where both players receive a Champion Card, a tangible collectible showcasing a Marvel hero or villain from the game.

These Champion Cards aren't merely collectibles; they can be scanned into the arcade machine to select specific champions for your match. With two series released so far, there are over 175 unique cards, including both standard and coveted foil variants. Whether you're aiming to enhance your gameplay or build your collection, here’s a comprehensive guide to MCoC Champion Cards.
What Are Champion Cards?
Champion Cards are physical trading cards dispensed from the Marvel Contest of Champions arcade machines at Dave & Buster’s. Each card represents a different character from the game and can be used to select your champions in the arcade version. If you choose not to scan any cards, the machine will randomly assign champions for you.
Every card features a specific Marvel character from MCoC and comes with a foil variant, adding to their collectible value. The first series included 75 different champions, while the second series expanded this to 100 total cards.
After each match, regardless of the outcome, the machine dispenses a Champion Card to each player. Winning doesn’t influence which card you receive, ensuring every player has an equal chance at any specific champion. The cards are drawn from one of the two existing series: Series 1 with 75 champions and Series 2, which expanded the selection to 100. Each card also has a rarer foil variant, prized among collectors.
While Champion Cards aren’t necessary to play the arcade game, they offer an additional layer of strategy and customization. By scanning your favorite cards, you can strategically choose your champions, adding a personalized touch to your battles. Although these cards don’t transfer to the mobile version of MCoC, they enhance the arcade experience with their collectible allure. Champion Card Rarity and Collectibility
Similar to traditional trading cards, MCoC Champion Cards possess a strong collectible appeal. While all cards serve the same function in the game, many players aim to collect the complete set, including the elusive foil versions. The second series introduced new designs while retaining many characters from the first, resulting in multiple styles for some cards.
The total list of available cards includes:
- Series 1 (2019): 75 champion cards featuring classic MCoC characters.
- Series 2 (later release): 100 cards, with reskinned versions of Series 1 and additional characters.
- Foil variants: Special versions of standard cards that are rarer and more valuable.
Some players strive to complete the entire set, while others focus on collecting their favorite Marvel characters or the foil cards. As these cards are exclusive to Dave & Buster’s, they've become a coveted collectible for Marvel enthusiasts.
For those who prefer digital collections, consider playing the main MCoC game on PC with BlueStacks, where you can train, upgrade, and battle with your favorite characters without needing an arcade visit!
