Gamescom Latam 2024, held in São Paulo, Brazil, celebrated Latin America's burgeoning gaming scene and the global industry. A key highlight was the game awards, presented in partnership with the BIG Festival. Thirteen categories were up for grabs, with nominees selected by a panel of 49 judges. All nominees were playable on the show floor, showcasing a welcome integration of mobile and PC games.
The "Best Mobile Game" award went to Triband ApS' What the Car? This win highlights the game's quality, previously featured in an article spotlighting lesser-known gems. The inclusion of mobile games alongside PC titles underscores the growing importance of the mobile gaming market.
