New Battlefield Features to be Tested by Thousands of Players

by Mila Mar 26,2025

Electronic Arts (EA) has unveiled a fascinating new initiative called Battlefield Labs, which serves as an internal closed beta for upcoming titles in the iconic Battlefield series. Recently, the developers tantalized fans by releasing a brief snippet of gameplay from the game's current pre-alpha stage.

Within Battlefield Labs, a select group of invited players will have the unique opportunity to test core mechanics and experimental concepts. It's important to note that not every feature tested will necessarily make it into the final product. Participants are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to access these exclusive gameplay elements. The testing will initially focus on essential modes like Conquest and Breakthrough, with an emphasis on refining combat and the signature destruction system before moving on to balance testing.

EA is currently accepting pre-registrations for the closed beta on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. Over the coming weeks, a few thousand eager players will receive their invitations, with plans in place to broaden the testing to additional regions later on.
