Anti-Heroes Are Blurring The Lines In Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 ‘Shadow Operatives’

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8, "Shadow Operatives," drops August 28th at 5 PM PT, introducing a cast of morally ambiguous characters that blur the lines between hero and villain.

Here's a closer look at what Season 8 offers:

First up, the new Combine Multiplayer map, a small, intense research outpost set in the Sahara Desert. Fans of Black Ops III will find a familiar feel. Expect close-quarters combat, with strategic locations like the central courtyard, balconies offering sniper vantage points, and the bridge providing ambush opportunities.

New weaponry includes the LAG 53 Assault Rifle, a high-mobility weapon ideal for aggressive playstyles. Pair it with the Assassin Perk, which targets killstreakers, or the JAK-12 Dragon's Breath attachment for devastating firepower.

The in-game store features the Mythic JAK-12 – Rising Ashes, a phoenix-themed weapon. Owners of the Mythic Krig 6 – Ice Drake will unlock the Awaken Weapon Camo, combining ice and fire aesthetics.

This season's Battle Pass delivers a bounty of free and premium rewards. The free tier includes attractive Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Vault Coins, and the LAG 53. Premium Pass holders receive Operator Skins like Samael – Techno Thug and Zoe – Nocturnal. Season 8 also brings back the Tokyo Escape Battle Pass from Season 3 (2021) to the Battle Pass Vault. Download Call of Duty: Mobile from the Google Play Store to join the action.
