Xbox Developer Direct 2025: January 23rd Showcase Announced
Microsoft has revealed the date for its next Xbox Developer Direct: January 23rd, 2025. This marks the third annual installment of the event and the first Xbox game showcase of the new year. The event, which initially launched in January 2023, continues its tradition of providing early looks at upcoming Xbox titles.
The 2025 showcase is scheduled for 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT and will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch.
Confirmed Games for Xbox Developer Direct 2025:
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: A turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive, slated for a 2025 release and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.
- Doom: The Dark Ages: id Software's latest entry in the Doom franchise, initially announced in June 2024 and showcased at QuakeCon 2024. A mid-2025 launch is rumored.
- South of Midnight: A stylish action-adventure game from Compulsion Games (Contrast, We Happy Few), first announced in June 2023. A release date is anticipated.
While these three titles are confirmed, previous Developer Directs (lasting over 40 minutes each) have featured multiple games. The 2024 event showcased titles like Avowed, Ara: History Untold, and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Therefore, the 2025 event likely holds additional unannounced surprises.
