Wizardry Variants: Daphne is a revival of the classic 'Wizardry' series, the game that defined the first-person dungeon crawler genre and arguably ignited Japan's fantasy gaming renaissance. It's no wonder developer Drecom Co. was so keen to bring it to mobile. Now, just in time for the summer season, players can dive into a fresh series of campaigns, headlined by a powerful new legendary adventurer.
Enter Aldric, the Fortune Crow Master. In a refreshing departure from the typical dwarven stereotype, Aldric isn't a blunt-force warrior. Instead, he's a cunning specialist skilled in stealth, subterfuge, and evading deadly traps.
His abilities allow him to unleash a precise, albeit low-damage, attack that boosts his Evasion stat. When damaged, his faithful crow companion automatically counterattacks. He continually improves traits like Detect, Evade Trap, Disarm Trap, and Trapophobia Tolerance, making your party nearly immune to all but the most trap-infested dungeon corridors.
A Murder of Crows
Aldric will be obtainable through two limited-time events, "Unique Remains: Fortune Crow Master" and "Remains of the Crow Handler Who Took Revenge on a Cult," running until July 9th. His specialized equipment—the Raven Dagger, Sooty Cloth, and Old Perch—can be drawn from the bonus event "Unique Remains: Fortune Crow Master (with Bonus)."
Be sure to log in frequently in the coming weeks, as special supplies, time-limited events, and missions featuring Aldric will be available starting June 25th and July 2nd. Also, look out for a newly added legendary quest for players who have Yekaterina in their party, included in this update.
