Android users rejoice! Genshin Impact is finally getting controller support! The long-awaited feature arrives with Version 5.5, launching March 26th, 2025. This is great news, especially considering iOS users gained this functionality back in 2021.
Genshin Impact Android Controller Support: Release Date
Starting March 26th, 2025, you can ditch the touchscreen and explore Teyvat with a controller. Version 5.5 will officially support the DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 (all Bluetooth-enabled).
Version 5.5: More Than Just Controllers
Beyond controller support, Version 5.5 boasts several quality-of-life improvements. Cross-scene quest tracking will streamline your adventures, allowing seamless transitions between areas via the map. Updated boss guides will aid new players in mastering enemy mechanics. Further optimizations are planned for the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system—full details will be revealed during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
