Sword of Convallaria's Night Crimson Update: New Story, Characters, and Events!
XD Inc. has unveiled the Night Crimson update for its popular tactical RPG, Sword of Convallaria, just months after its July launch. Boasting millions of downloads across PC and mobile platforms, this expansion delivers a wealth of new content, including engaging events, valuable rewards, and innovative gameplay mechanics.
Continuing the Spiral of Destinies campaign, the update introduces a captivating new storyline in Waverun City centered around investigative clue wall gameplay. This unique feature blends detective work with tactical combat, challenging players to solve mysteries and make strategic choices under the guidance of Safiyyah, the Mobile Squad's leader.
Night Crimson also introduces SP Characters – alternate versions of existing characters with unique appearances and combat skills. SP Rawiyah arrives January 3rd, followed by Taair on January 17th. Unlocking these SP forms for characters you already own unlocks exclusive SP skills, significantly boosting both the original and SP versions' combat prowess.
Running from December 20th, the Night Crimson events provide players with opportunities to earn substantial rewards, including Secret Fates, legendary trinkets, and exclusive avatar frames. The Waverun Tournament, commencing January 3rd, allows players to exchange event points for special items, offering a competitive edge.
Beyond the gameplay enhancements, the update offers a behind-the-scenes look at the game's development. Developer messages provide insights into future plans, and a video message from Safiyyah's Japanese voice actor adds a personal touch. The update also includes a new theme song, "Never Apart," featuring a Japanese version performed by Hikasa Yoko.
