TouchArcade Rating: Following the mobile release of Coromon, the popular monster-collecting game from TRAGsoft, a roguelite spin-off is on the horizon. Coromon: Rogue Planet (Free), slated for release next year, will arrive on Steam, Switch, iOS, and Android. This new title promises to combine the turn-based combat of its predecessor with addictive roguelite gameplay, creating a highly replayable monster-catching experience. The Steam page boasts features including 10 dynamically generated biomes, 7 playable characters, over 130 monsters, and much more. Check out the official announcement trailer below:
The original Coromon is available for free on mobile. It will be interesting to see how Coromon: Rogue Planet performs on mobile, and whether its mobile release coincides with the Steam and Switch launches. You can add Coromon: Rogue Planet to your Steam wishlist here. While I haven't played Coromon recently, Coromon: Rogue Planet's gameplay sounds particularly engaging. Based on the Steam screenshots, it appears to be perfectly suited for short, pick-up-and-play sessions. In the meantime, you can download the original Coromon for free on iOS here. What are your thoughts on Coromon: Rogue Planet so far? Have you played the original Coromon?
