The final day of the Six Invitational is traditionally when Ubisoft unveils major announcements for Rainbow Six Siege. A key highlight each year is the introduction of a new operator. This time, Ubisoft revealed Rauora, an Attacker hailing from New Zealand.
Her signature gadget is the DOM Launcher—a bulletproof shield deployable exclusively in doorways. Though resistant to bullets, it can be destroyed by explosives. The shield features a trigger that can be shot by anyone, but activation times vary: one second for Attackers and three seconds for Defenders. This timing difference can be decisive, especially during post-plant scenarios.

Rauora also brings an all-new weapon to Rainbow Six Siege: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an extended magazine. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as her primary weapon options.
Rauora will debut on the test servers next week. Her full release to the live version of the game will follow at a later date.
