Should You Help Prochek or Olbram in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Mice & Frogs Quest Guide)

by Emily Mar 21,2025

Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll encounter side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov, requiring you to choose sides between Prochek and Olbram. This guide clarifies whether helping one hinders the other, and how to complete both questlines.

Can You Help Both Prochek and Olbram in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

Tachov and Zhelejov are locked in a feud in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Fortunately, you can largely complete quests for both Prochek and Olbram. This approach reveals more of the game's backstory from both settlements. While a completely favorable outcome for both is impossible, experiencing both perspectives enriches the gameplay.

Should You Choose Prochek or Olbram in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

If choosing just one side, there's little difference in outcome. Both aim to sabotage the other; the choice boils down to personal preference.

Olbram tasks you with stealing Zhelejov's maypole—a nighttime stealth operation involving distracting a guard. Prochek's task involves painting Olbram's bull blue, requiring a recipe from Radovan and dye from the tailor.

Prochek's quest is arguably more challenging early on, potentially requiring more groschen or Speech skill. Siding with Olbram might be easier initially. Both questlines are detailed below.

How to Start Mice for Prochek in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Speak with Prochek in Tachov to begin the "Mice" quest. If you can't locate him, the innkeeper can direct you.

Getting the Dye and Lullaby Potion

Ingredients for Lullaby Potion

Purchase dye from Bartoshek the tailor in Troskowitz. Obtain the Lullaby Potion recipe either by working for Radovan or charming him into giving it to you. The recipe requires oil, poppy, and thistle (found in the garden outside Troskowitz's apothecary).

Once brewed, head to Zhelejov, pour the potion into the bull's trough, and paint the bull once it's asleep. Report back to Prochek. You can then choose to also start Olbram's "Frogs" quest.

Find Old Olbram near the meadow in Zhelejov and agree to retrieve the maypole to start "Frogs."

Stealing the Maypole

In the evening, approach the Tachov maypole. You can knock out the guard, Henrik, or use Speech to persuade him to leave his post. Charm Henrik by asking about Manka, arranging a date for them, and then returning to Henrik after telling Manka. Once he leaves, claim the maypole.

Return to Olbram. He'll then task you with chasing sheep from a Tachov pasture and delivering a digestive potion to Alshik. You can complete this, or inform Prochek of Olbram's plan to conclude both quests.
