Pokémon Sleep: Sneasel and Weavile Unveiled

by Lillian Jan 25,2025

New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile!

Pokémon Sleep players have a treat! As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and its evolution, Weavile, have joined the roster of befriendable Pokémon. Here's how to add these icy, dark-type Pokémon to your team.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile:

These Pokémon, typically Ice/Dark type in the main series, appear as Dark-type Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep. You can find them in two locations:

  • Snowdrop Tundra: Their primary habitat, reflecting their icy nature.
  • Greengrass Isle: Conveniently available to all players, regardless of game progress.

Use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch islands if needed.

Sleep Types:

Both Sneasel and Weavile share the "Dozing" sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them requires having a Dozing sleep type for the night. Sneasel is easier to find initially, evolving into Weavile with 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.

Are They Worth It?

Sneasel's value lies in its berry-gathering ability (Wiki Berries) and its contribution to "Extra Tasty" dishes. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable addition to your Snowdrop Tundra team.
