To unlock the Trial, defeat Balbala the Traitor in Traitor's Passage (Act 2). She's a tough early-game opponent, but defeating her yields Balbala's Barya—crucial for accessing the Trial.
After defeating Balbala, travel to the Trial's location via the Ardura's travel map or waypoint. You'll find a ruined temple where Balbala, now an advisor, awaits. Place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar to begin.
