Palworld Mobile Game in Development

Krafton and Pocket Pair are joining forces to bring the monster-catching game, Palworld, to mobile devices. Krafton, known for PUBG, will leverage its expertise to adapt Palworld's core gameplay for mobile platforms through its subsidiary, PUBG Studios. This collaboration signifies an expansion of the Palworld intellectual property.

However, details regarding the mobile version remain scarce. The original Palworld title launched on Xbox and Steam earlier this year, followed by a PlayStation 5 release (excluding Japan). This exclusion may be linked to an ongoing legal dispute between Nintendo and Pocket Pair, concerning alleged patent infringement related to the game's mechanics, specifically the way players capture creatures. While Nintendo alleges patent infringement, Pocket Pair claims unawareness of the specific patents in question.

Krafton's involvement is strategically significant, given Pocket Pair's current focus on the core game's development. The mobile adaptation is likely in its early stages, so concrete information, such as whether it will be a direct port or a modified version, is yet to be revealed. Fans eager for updates can visit the official Steam page for Palworld to familiarize themselves with the game's features. Further information on the mobile version is anticipated soon.
