Nintendo has revealed the upgrade costs for two more Switch titles moving to the Switch 2 Edition: Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree. The price is notably high.
While upgrading The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom costs $9.99 each, NintendoLife noted that the Kirby and Super Mario Party Jamboree upgrades are each more than double that amount.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild includes improved visuals and performance, achievements, and support for the new "Zelda Notes" feature in the Nintendo Switch Online app. Existing Switch owners of Breath of the Wild don't receive these enhancements automatically; they must purchase a separate $10 upgrade pack.
The Switch 2 Edition of Kirby and the Forgotten Land adds new story content in the Star-Crossed World. Super Mario Party Jamboree’s Switch 2 Edition introduces Jamboree TV, a new suite of content utilizing the Joy-Con 2's mouse controls, the Switch 2 microphone, and a separately sold USB-C camera. Alongside resolution upgrades to 1440p in TV mode and improved frame rates, it also includes new minigames and online features.
U.S. pricing on the American Nintendo eShop is not yet available—possibly due to uncertainty surrounding President Trump's tariffs. However, the UK Nintendo eShop lists the Kirby and the Forgotten Land upgrade pack at £16.99 / €19.99, over twice the £7.99 / €9.99 cost to upgrade Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom.
The Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition ＋ Jamboree TV upgrade is priced identically, suggesting a U.S. price of $19.99.
The $20 upgrade fee for both games may be linked to the surprising $79.99 launch price for the complete Switch 2 Editions: Kirby and The Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star Crossed World, and Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. The original Switch versions of both games are $20 cheaper, priced at $59.99 each.

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders began earlier today, April 24, with the price holding at $449.99—and demand was as intense as anticipated. Meanwhile, Nintendo has issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered from the My Nintendo Store, stating that release date delivery is not guaranteed due to exceptionally high demand.
