
Microsoft has unveiled the second wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in January 2025. The announcement coincides with Microsoft's upcoming Xbox Developer Direct event on January 23, which will showcase several day-one Game Pass releases including Doom: The Dark Ages and South of Midnight.
Upcoming Game Pass Highlights
The new additions begin on January 21 with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S), available immediately for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. This snowy sequel to the acclaimed downhill cycling game introduces eight-player cross-platform multiplayer modes.
January 22 brings a flood of new titles across all Game Pass tiers:
- Flock (Console) - A cozy creature-collecting adventure
- Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, PC) - The definitive version of the MOBA shooter
- Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console) - A unique Japanese strategy-action hybrid
- Several indie gems including Magical Delicacy and The Case of the Golden Idol
Later in the week, subscribers can look forward to:
- Eternal Strands (Jan 28) - A fantasy action RPG from industry veterans
- Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Jan 28) - Chaotic trap-defense gameplay
- Sniper Elite: Resistance (Jan 30) - The latest entry in the acclaimed stealth series
- Citizen Sleeper 2 (Jan 31) - The anticipated sequel to the award-winning sci-fi RPG
Departing Titles
The following games will leave Game Pass on January 31:

- Broforce Forever
- Darkest Dungeon
- Death's Door
- Maquette
- Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem
