Silent Hill 2 Remake Hits 2 Million Sales, Konami Says

by Lily Jan 10,2026

Konami is celebrating the strong performance of the Silent Hill 2 remake, which has impressively surpassed two million units sold.

Developed by Bloober Team, the Silent Hill 2 remake launched for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on October 8, 2024 (no announcement has been made regarding an Xbox Series X and S release), and reached one million copies sold within just a few days. This makes the remake potentially the fastest-selling title in the Silent Hill series, though Konami has not yet officially confirmed this record.

“Since its launch, Silent Hill 2 has earned widespread praise, including multiple perfect review scores and several award wins and nominations, securing its legacy as a timeless masterpiece in the horror genre,” Konami stated.

IGN’s review of the Silent Hill 2 remake awarded it an 8/10, stating: “Silent Hill 2 offers a great way to experience – or return to – one of the most chilling settings in survival horror history.”
