Solving the Fountain of Confession Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Following the Sacred Wounds puzzle and escape from the Vatican's underground, Indy uses the scroll from the Giant's tomb to locate the Fountain of Confession. Remember to photograph everything for Adventure Points!
Exit Antonio's office (like at the start of the Sacred Wounds mission) and use your journal's map to find the courtyard stairs leading to the puzzle's start.
First, retrieve the fountain key from the chest near the construction area. This unlocks the storage room beside the fountain.
Use your whip to rappel to the rooftop, then swing to the window, returning you to the fountain's top. You'll see two dragon statues. Swing to the second statue and grab its claw to activate a lever.
Rotate the statue to face the opposite dragon. Return to the first statue; its claw is missing!
Find the fallen claw on the scaffolding below. Rappelling down triggers a cutscene with Gina Lombardi, who then assists.
Replace the claw, rotate the statues to face each other, and the fountain statue below will turn. Rappel down to proceed.
Use your whip to pull the fountain statue, revealing a gate blocked by three statues. A lever appears; Indy and Gina activate it, revealing the first wall puzzle. Use the inscriptions for hints and Adventure Points.
The first puzzle: position the male statue under the water bucket, activate the water, then push it toward the smaller statue ("baptizing" it). This moves a gate statue.
Activate the lever again for the second puzzle: manipulate the stone path layers using the handles to move the angel figure to the right. This moves the second gate statue.
Finally, push the remaining central statue through the gate to activate a spiral staircase. Congratulations!
