Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

by Anthony Jan 24,2025

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's total mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new environments, and game modes, all encouraging increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, combined with the gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.

This update's impact on player engagement proved remarkably sustained. Unlike typical post-update spending declines, Zenless Zone Zero maintained daily revenues above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 per day two weeks after the release.

While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still lags behind HoYoverse's other flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
