The Fisch Northern Expedition update introduces a challenging mountain climb and a rewarding puzzle. Conquering this peak unlocks the powerful Heaven's Rod (1,750,000 C$), but obtaining it requires solving a button puzzle. This guide details the locations of all five buttons needed to acquire the final, elusive Red Energy Crystal.
Northern Summit Buttons Puzzle Explained
Four Energy Crystals are scattered across the Northern Summit mountain. Collecting these is the first step towards obtaining the Heaven's Rod. However, the Red Energy Crystal is hidden and requires solving an additional puzzle. After finding the first three crystals, speak to the NPC in the Glacial Grotto. They'll send you on a quest to discover five hidden buttons across different islands. Pressing these buttons unlocks the Red Crystal.
All Button Locations To Unlock the Red Crystal
Finding the Red Crystal involves visiting five specific locations in Fisch:
Moosewood Island Button Location
This button is easily found behind the leaderboard near the island's pier. It's located close to the ground.
Roslit Bay Button Location
Head inland from Roslit Bay's pier. Near the campsite, you'll find the Angler NPC. The button is hidden amongst the logs on the ground.
Forsaken Shores Button Location
On Forsaken Shores, head to the watchtowers on the eastern side of the island. A red glow is visible from afar, guiding you to the button atop the watchtower nearest the pier.
Snowcap Island Button Location
This button is well-concealed. Travel to Upper Snowcap and locate the Wilson NPC. The button is hidden within the wooden fence next to him.
Ancient Isle Button Location
The final button is situated at the unfinished lighthouse on Ancient Isle. It's located on the side of the lighthouse entrance.
Once all five buttons are pressed, return to the Glacial Grotto and speak to the NPC again. This will open the path to the Red Energy Crystal, completing the puzzle.
