Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam, a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. The game's recent update includes Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish planned for release in the coming months.

Fantasma challenges players to hunt and battle mischievous creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in augmented reality, requiring players to move their phones to track and target the Fantasma, shooting virtual projectiles to deplete their health and capture them in special bottles.

Fantasma creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Sensors can expand your search radius, and cooperative gameplay allows for teaming up with other players.

Fantasma is free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and available now on the App Store and Google Play. For fans of the AR genre, Pocket Gamer also provides a list of the best AR games for iOS.
