After nearly a decade without enhancements, Clash Royale's fiery Inferno Dragon finally receives its long-anticipated Evolution upgrade. Supercell commemorated the occasion with a creative reveal featuring Finnish comedian Ismo Leikola.

The Evolution upgrade fundamentally changes the Inferno Dragon's combat effectiveness, maintaining its damage ramp-up even when switching targets - a significant improvement over the original version.
Inferno Dragon Evolution Launches New Season
Titled "How to Evolve Your Dragon!", the new season reintroduces the popular 2v2 League alongside the Inferno Dragon Evolution. Players can partner with friends or be matched randomly to climb the competitive ladder.
Milestone Events beginning at Arena 7 offer valuable rewards including Evolution Shards, an Epic Book of Cards, and exclusive cosmetics. Two Crown Chase events provide additional banners and shards.
To showcase the Evolution mechanics, developers have prepared several special game modes throughout June and early July:
- Evolution Draft (Jun 2-9)
- Inferno Dragon Challenge (Jun 6-9) with banner and emote rewards
- Evolution Mayhem (Jun 9-16) allowing 4 Evolution Cards
- Magical Trio (Jun 16-23)
- 4 Card Showdown (Jun 23-30)
- Evolution Bonanza (Jun 30-Jul 7) permitting 8 Evolution Cards
