For those not in the know, you might be surprised to learn that the Epic Games Store for mobile mirrors its PC counterpart by offering free games that you can claim for a limited time. Even better, on mobile, it's not just monthly but weekly, and you get two games instead of one!
In the last week of April, Epic has two fantastic titles available completely free: Loop Hero and Chuchel. If you're a regular reader, you'll recognize Loop Hero as one of our favorites here at Pocket Gamer. Jack's glowing review praised its engaging roguelike experience. If you play nothing else from this pair, make sure it's Loop Hero.
But what about Chuchel? This surreal animated adventure follows the titular character, Chuchel, on a quest to reclaim his stolen cherry. Along the way, he and his rival, Kekel, find themselves in all sorts of hilarious and bizarre situations that you must navigate or simply watch unfold.
**Free-for-all** Chuchel might be a bit unconventional, but it was a fun experience for our App Army when they reviewed it upon release. And even if it's not your usual genre, you can't beat the price of free. On the other hand, Loop Hero is highly recommended for its challenging gameplay and stunning pixel art visuals.
The Epic Games Store for mobile brings many of the same benefits as its PC version, including these free game releases and access to popular titles like Fortnite, which are otherwise unavailable on mobile.
