Elon Musk approves: Path of Exile 2 has received a major update and a handy name change feature

Path of Exile 2's developers have released a substantial update, 0.1.1c, addressing several key issues and introducing new features. The patch notes detail improvements across various aspects of the game:

New Features and Fixes:

  • Cartwalker Machine Fix: Resolved a bug preventing access to the Cartwalker Machine after transferring characters from solo league.
  • Local Cooperative Mode Improvements: Fixed multiple bugs in local cooperative mode. These fixes address issues where Player 2 would incorrectly unlock Player 1's UI items (like high-level maps) and difficulties with quick movement between control points.
  • Increased Revival Attempts: Added up to five revival attempts in several challenging areas, depending on the difficulty level:
    • Distorted Possessions
    • Olroth, the Source of the Fall battle
    • Essence of Nonexistence realm
    • A death before defeating the Host in The Mists now results in revival within the boss arena, restarting the fight.
  • Character Renaming: Players can now rename their characters via the official website.

Grinding Gear Games continues to maintain a strong presence atop the Steam charts following Path of Exile 2's launch. While acknowledging initial launch challenges, the developers are actively working to enhance the player experience.
