Valve's back from their New Year break, and developers are starting to roll out updates across their game portfolio. Following the announcement of Deadlock's shift away from bi-weekly updates, many anticipated a substantial patch. However, Valve opted for a smaller, less intensive update to kick off the year.
This initial 2025 patch focuses solely on adjustments to Yamato. The hero received a minor nerf, featuring reduced damage scaling and a lowered attack speed bonus at the first level of Shadow Transformation. Further adjustments included nerfs to Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot, alongside a slight rework of Alchemical Fire.

A more comprehensive patch is anticipated, though the timing remains uncertain. Predicting a release date at this stage is challenging.
It's noteworthy that Deadlock's player count has experienced a recent decline. While this might be attributed to the popularity of Marvel Rivals, a consistent player base of 7,000–19,000 remains respectable for a game still in its deep beta phase. As a reminder, Valve has yet to unveil any official release dates or monetization plans for Deadlock.
