If you're a fan of Pokémon GO, get ready for some exciting events! Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event is set to add even more thrill to your gameplay.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event celebrates Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. You'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and keep your eyes peeled for their Shiny versions.
Archen will be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. The event also offers some fantastic XP bonuses: double XP for Nice Throws or better, and additional XP for Curveball Throws.
For those eager to dive deeper, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. Completing up to 10 sets of tasks will reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters, making it a must-play for enthusiasts.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon
Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol called Brutal Swing, which will be permanently available to Absol after the event, delivering 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will increase to 20. You can also earn up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your daily total to six.
